Agent mode

Use an AI agent without your code leaving the building

Plenty of teams cannot paste their source into a third-party service, which usually means they get no AI tooling at all. A local model removes the question entirely: there is no request to make.

How to run it

  1. 01Install Osmium and pull a local model.
  2. 02Select it as the active model, and leave cloud providers unconfigured.
  3. 03Confirm with your own network monitoring that inference generates no outbound traffic.

Local storage as well as local inference

Sessions and history live in a SQLite database on your machine, not in an account. There is no server-side transcript.

Explicit, not implicit

Cloud models are a deliberate choice you make per model. There is no silent fallback that ships your context off-machine.

The catch

This holds for the local path. Choosing a cloud model does send your prompt and attached context to that provider — which is why it is a separate, visible choice.
